Art is a gift to be received and shared and comes in many many forms. Paint, Cook, Travel, Poetry... you name it, if you're sharing creative energy, that's an Art. ~Steph

Play that Funky Music Blues Man!

Last week I had the pleasure of visiting the Balladyre Studios in Pinole, California and interview the Studios owner, Jay Russio and Musical Storyteller, Ted Wysinger Jr.

I call Ted a Storyteller because he writes songs that tell whole stories. That make you think. I was treated to far more than I expected. I learned, laughed and boogied! My interview and visit was so wonderful and extensive I've decided to do a mini show on them and their side of the music world in the near future. In the meanwhile.... I wanted to share a video with you. Ted has a rich history and has played around San Francisco for over 30 years. That's Ted back there on the Playing Bass. Working it!

Singer "Little Wolf" Malik Shabazz, Band L-R Felix Bannon guitar, Donnie Kuntz drums, Ted Wysinger bass, Dave Sobel keyboard

Stephanie, I am glad your meeting with Theodore, Jay and company yielded such an interesting experience. Talent such as theirs have so few forums today, and the music they make needs to be heard. I am glad I suggested this meeting if I must "toot" my own horn!

Steph, I love your site, your show, and your energy. We had a great time visiting with you in the studio. You made us feel so comfortable while interviewing. It felt more like a celebration than a visit. Thank you for all the kind words about Ted and I. We so look forward to seeing you back at Balladyre Productions again some day very soon.
